A. Abu-Siada (M’07, SM’12) received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Ain Shams University, Egypt in 1998 and his PhD degree from Curtin University, Australia in 2004, all in Electrical Engineering. Currently he is an associate professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Curtin University. His research interests include power electronics, power system stability, condition monitoring and power quality. He has published more than 200 research articles and the author of Application of FACTS devices in WECS book and the editor of Power Transformer Condition Monitoring, Concepts and Challenges with IET (UK) publisher. He is Editor-in-Chief for the international journal of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and regular reviewer for various IEEE Transactions. He is vice-chair of the IEEE Computation Intelligence Society, WA Chapter and IEEE senior member.
