Introduction of College of Electrical Engineering & New Energy

 

The college of Electrical Engineering & New Energy was set up in 1978, and it is the first batch college performing comprehensive reform in the Hubei Province. The scientific research of the college is distinguished in hydropower, power transmission line and MicroGrid. Nowadays, there are two main Undergraduate Programs which are Electrical Engineering & Automation and Automation Engineering. The program of Electrical Engineering and Automation includes three alternative syllabuses: Electric Power System and Its Automation, Transmission Line Engineering and Electrical Power Generation Technology by Renewable Energies. In addition, the college also provides Master Program of First-level Discipline in Electrical Engineering and Postgraduate Program of Engineering in Electric Power System and Control Engineering. In the Master Program of First-level Discipline in Electrical Engineering, it includes four alternative syllabuses: Electric Power System and Automation, High Voltage and Insulation Technology, Electronic & Electrical Drive and Electrical Power Generation Technology by Renewable Energies.

 

The college of Electrical Engineering & New Energy has overall 180 teaching and administrative staff , including 1 staff has been awarded the National Expert with Remarkable Contributions; 1 staff has been awarded the First Level New Century High-level Talents Project in Hubei Province; 2 experts who enjoying the Government Subsidies of Hubei Province; 3 professors have been awarded the “Chutian Scholar”; 3 Distinguished Professors; 1 staff has been awarded the National Outstanding Teacher and 1 staff has been awarded the Yichang City Excellent Worker.

 

The Electrical Engineering & Automation has been awarded the Brand Specialty Program of Hubei Province, National First-rank Characteristic Specialty Program, and National-level Teaching Team. Except these awards, it has been elected in the second batch of Outstanding Engineers Education Training Plan by Ministry of Education. The education pattern of “Electric Talent” has been elected in Best Innovative Talents Training Plan Project of Hubei Province. “Overhead Transmission Line Design” textbook is written by College of Electrical Engineering and New Energy. It is the first batch of national teaching planning materials of “The Twelfth Five-year” higher education undergraduate. “Power System Analysis”“Fundamentals of Electronic Technology”“ Electrical Circuit”these three courses has been awarded Excellent Course in Hubei Province.

 

The Master Program of First-level Discipline in Electrical Engineering is the key and characteristic discipline of Hubei Province. The Renewable Energy Micro-grid Research Center is the Collaborative Innovation Center of Hubei Province. The Operation and Control of Cascaded Hydropower Plant Laboratory is the key laboratory of Hubei Province. The Hydropower Plant Simulation Lab is the key laboratory of the former State Power Company (Ministerial). The Electrical and Electronic Center is the demonstrated experimental teaching center of Hubei Province.

 

The college of Electrical Engineering and New Energy has strong scientific research capability. In the past 5 years, the college teachers have been published more than 800 papers in relevant areas. Among these papers, there are more than 300 papers indexed by EICTGU (China Three Gorges University), more than 20 monographs & textbooks and 1 national teaching planning material. The college teachers have been participated in many scientific researches. It includes 1 scientific research achievement which has been awarded the Second Class of Natural Science by Ministry of Education, 13 scientific research achievements which have been awarded the Technology Award of Hubei Province, 1 scientific research achievement has been awarded the China Hydropower Engineering Society Award, and more than 10 scientific research achievements have got national invention patent license. According to the statistics, the whole college has more than 300 undergoing scientific research projects and the fund of projects reach to 100 million RMB. In these undergoing scientific research projects, it has more than 30 national-level projects and more than 60 province-levelmunicipal-level projects.

 

The college of Electrical Engineering and New Energy pays particular attention on quality of talent training and engineering practice ability & creativity of students. Thus, the college students work very well in the University Student Electronic Design and Innovation Laboratory. There are 8 achievements have been awarded the Teaching Achievements Award of Hubei Province which including 4 first prize, 1 second prize and 3 third prize. And the college students also have participated in National University Student Electronic Design Competition, Challenge Cup and so on. They won 12 National Awards. At present, there are 3581 students in the college of Electrical Engineering and New Energy (including 377 postgraduates and 50 international students). The graduates are mainly working in State Grid Corporation of China, China Southern Power Grid, five power generation groups and large state-owned enterprise. The employment rate reaches to 96%.

 

The college will continue adhering to the spirit of college “open, tolerating, sharing, gratitude”. It mainly focus on reform of personal training mode and  improve the quality of talent training to achieve “high level of discipline construction, high standard of scientific research, high quality of talent training and high efficiency of management work”. Based on the demand of power sector and economic & social development, the college will continually improve the quality of teaching, scientific research level and enhance technical ability in future.



学院概况

澳门新浦京娱乐场网站创建于1978年,是湖北省首批高校改革试点学院,是一所具有鲜明水电特色,集人才培养与科学研究于一体的学院。目前学院设有电气工程系,电力电子系,输电线路工程系,高电压技术系,自动化系,新能源微电网研究中心,创新创业中心7个系(中心)。

 

学院现有电气工程及其自动化(含输电线路工程专业方向、新能源发电专业方向)、自动化智能电网信息工程等本科专业;电气工程及其自动化专业为湖北省品牌专业、国家特色专业建设点、教育部第二批卓越工程师教育培养计划专业、湖北省拨尖创新人才培育试验计划专业。学院编写的架空输电线路设计》成为教育部第一批十二五普通高等教育本科国家级规划教材。《电力系统分析》、《电子技术基础》、《电路》三门课程获评省级精品课程。

 

电气工程一级学科为湖北省重点学科和特色学科,是湖北省优势特色学科群——电力与新能源学科群主干学科,电气工程和控制科学与工程是湖北省楚天学者岗位设岗学科,电气工程为湖北省博士点立项建设学科。有电气工程(含:电力系统及其自动化、高电压与绝缘技术、电力电子与电力传动、新能源发电技术)一级学科硕士点、控制理论与控制工程硕士点,具有电气工程领域、控制工程领域工程硕士学位授予权。学院拥有省级研究生工作证2个,研究生创新基地16个。

 

学院拥有国家级教学团队电气工程虚拟仿真国家级实验教学中心输电线路工程国家级实验教学示范中心电工电子湖北省实验教学示范中心电气工程湖北省实习实训示范中心、新能源微电网湖北省协同创新中心梯级水电站运行与控制湖北省重点实验室微电网湖北省工程技术研究中心、原国家电力公司(部级)水电站虚拟仿真实验室等省级及以上教学科研平台10多个。

 

学院具有较强的科学研究实力。近五年来,学院教师在相关领域发表学术论1000余篇,其中三大检索收录800余篇;出版专著、教材20部,其中国家规划教材1部;学院教师科研成果省部级科技奖励20项,其中湖北省自然科学奖一等奖1项;获国家发明专利授权20余项;承担科研项目500余项,项目合同经费近1.2亿元,其中国家级项目30项。

 

学院重视人才培养质量,注重学生工程实践能力和创新能力的开发,充分发挥大学生电子设计与创新实验室的作用。获湖北省高等学校教学成果8项,其中一等奖4项,二等奖1项,三等奖3项。多次参加全国大学生电子设计竞赛、数学建模、挑战杯等学科竞赛,获国家奖30项。目前学院在校学生3769(其中:研究生437,留学生87)。毕业生主要面向国家电网公司、中国南方电网五大发电集团和大型装备制造企业就业,就业率达96%
